Amazon Fashion Week

I was in charge of the production, and creation for the opening party of Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO.

The key visual element of the fashion show was White Cubes (=white boxes) as a motif, we arranged 125 boxes on the wall above the stage in a geometric pattern.

We projection mapped onto this wall of boxes and controlled lids to open/close by servos +motors that are built into it.

One of the big challenges of this project was the individual differences in box shape and motor variation. As we had created the animation in a perfectly geometric environment (c4d), the mapping did not match the physical installation. To solve this we fine tuned the individual position and shape of the boxes by hand creating a spectacular final show.
